Examples include stakeholder alignment, audit support, building business cases, improved management information and improved governance

Invariably involves the customer delivering on our given advice. This support is wide ranging and involves most aspects of Government activities. Outputs typically involve reviews, reports and proposals on what needs to be fixed and experienced recommendations on where efforts are best focused

Step In - Step Out
Up to 6 months

Examples include resolving failing mobilisation or current operations, merging portfolios of activity, organisational design, producing business cases, benefits delivery and assurance

As it aptly describes, we provide experienced people who are able to step into a situation and, once in a stabilised or improved position, step out again leaving a clear pathway and handover plan. Typical outputs include stabilised/re-energised programmes or projects, re-vitalised oversight, enhanced portfolio management and re-aligned governance

Interim Management
Up to 2 years

Examples include management of long term programmes or set up, leadership or improvement in portfolios of activity from first principles (PMO, P3 Management)

Our interim management comes in two guises. Firstly, we can provide people who review, plan, own and deliver the promised outcomes - an end to end solution. Secondly, we can provide  people to take over existing activities for someone who has left permanently or temporarily until a replacement can be found

We have supported a number of key government departments in promoting capability enhancement within HMG through the creation and interim management of Programme Management Offices. Our roles include the interim management, leadership and oversight of portfolios of activity, both within HMG Departments and overseas. We have also been deployed on a pre-project needs analysis for world class biometric capabilities

Enhancing Security Capabilities

We led a refocus of accountability and performance monitoring of a portfolio of enhanced security for EU transition plans. We also led a review of an HMG capability building programme for overseas governments and were consequently deployed as transition lead to re-vitalise the operating model by consolidating and enhancing programme delivery, introducing a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) strategy and creating benefits realisation plans.

Delivering Significant Step-Change in Operations

Our numerous transformation projects include the successful development and mobilisation of a new territory strategy by expanding operations into three regions across the world, managing two initial pilot programmes for a world-wide technology roll-out of high-tech protective infrastructure for an overseas government and support to an HMG operating unit on alignment of multiple stakeholder 'tactical' activities under one portfolio.

Building, Improving and Directing Portfolios of Activity

A core area of expertise, we were deployed on a unique 12-month commission to create and set up a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) capable of delivering capacity building programmes in specific overseas countries. As part of the commission, we also acted as Interim PMO Director prior to handover to permanent team. We also completed an 18-month commission as a designed Programme Director to consolidate and grow a business unit delivering integrated security products/services to UK and International Governments.
